Collin Carmouze

Collin is Ground Up’s second Artistic Director, and is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. Before his ascension to Artistic Director, Collin was Ground’s Up’s Resident Director for the company’s appearances at the Miami beach’s wildly successful Sleepless Night Festival. As a director and and an actor in the company’s heralded production of The Pillowman, Collin was called an “ingenious director and actor” by the Miami Artzine, and Florida Theater On Stage hailed him as “the most impressive performance, onstage and behind the scenes.” He was selected from a wide pool of possible successors to Rossi because of his intelligence, analytical acumen, and his deft touch as an award-wining actor, and talented director. Collin was the recipient of the Miami New Times 2006 Best Ensemble Award for his work in New Theatre’s Summer Shakespeare Project.
