Valentina Izara is an actress, writer and TV host. In 2014, Valentina was named Best Actress by the New Times in Fort Lauderdale/ Palm Beach for her performance in Julie Johnson at Kutumba Theatre Project. She was also awarded the Silver Palm Award as Best Ensemble for her portrayal of Linda Rotunda in Alliance Theatre Lab’s Savage in Limbo and was nominated for a Carbonell Award in the same category. Other theatre credits include Tartuffe, Dying City, 9 Circles, Gruesome Playground Injuries, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Guys and Dolls, On the Town, Miss Saigon, Gates of Choice, Uncommon Women and Others, White Christmas, And Then She Moved the Furniture, Barefoot Boy With Shoes On and House & Garden. Film credits include The Last Hit and Harder They Fall. Valentina frequently works in commercials and Spanish television. She is the current writer and host for Batanga11, a weekly web-based show in Spanish dedicated to music lovers. Valentina studied Shakespeare at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London and is an ongoing student at Miami Acting Studio. She is also passionate about dance and trains regularly in ballroom dance at Fred Astaire Dance Studio.
